the Wizard of Oz review!

This is a review of the book (not the movie).

Short review: Read the book. It's great.

Long review: The Wizard of Oz is a great book. It's short, clever, and in many ways is better than the film. For example, Scarecrow gets brains, the Tin man gets a heart, and the Cowardly Lion gets courage. Then they actually face danger and the Flying Monkeys make sense. Also, there are a couple parts in there where you can see the plot points from Oz the Great and Powerful. The book is very fast-paced. Seriously. Each chapter is, like, four pages long. They are actually in danger sometimes, like when they are captured by the Wicked Witch of the West, and when the Kalidahs try to eat them. I thought that the book gave the rough edges to Dorothy that she needed.

 I might read the thirteen sequels, I just don't know.
