Dunkirk Review!

I saw Dunkirk on August 5th, and I have put together my thoughts for a review:
Short Review: It was disappointing.

Long Review:
Dunkirk is very disappointing. Very-capital-V- disappointing.
The movie starts out in where, exactly? They never made it clear. I thought he was in Britain and going to Dunkirk. And there were German soldiers at Dunkirk. But then there were two side plots: all set at different times, all set in different places. One revolves around a boring dogfight that makes the English Channel look like the Atlantic Sea. The other is about the civilians that go across the English Channel to save the souls at Dunkirk. Yet the one plot about the soldier was boring. It was confusing. It was convoluted. It was hard to tell the main characters apart. They all had black hair, were white, had British accents, and had weird teeth. And the movie KILLED the characterization. There was less than five minutes of dialogue. So... I had no idea what was going on.
And I am still confused. Most of what you see above is merely my opinions after watching the movie and reading the plot Wikipedia.
Sucks, doesn't it? How is it Critically Acclaimed? How do people even THINK it is better than Batman Begins?
Oh, well. Que Sera Sera.
