Today, after the last post, I started thinking: What movies don't deserve rotten ratings? Well, these are some of my personal favorites.
10. Robin Hood
Robin Hood (1973) is a Disney classic. A childhood classic. Why does it deserve a 52% "Rotten" rating (Especially when compared to it's 81% audience rating)?
9. the Mummy (90s)
The Mummy was hilarious! Does it too deserve to be rotten?
8. Independence Day: Resurgence
The sequel to Independence Day, a cultural phenomenon, Resurgence was pretty good. It was funny, had great graphics, good acting, and a good plot to boot. Yet it got 31%.
6. the Lorax
The Lorax was a good film. It put a little more depth into the story, like showing the Once-ler's face, adding characters, and making good songs. But it got a 54%. It's sad.
5. Madagascar
Madagascar was hilarious. Flat out hilarious (My favorite scene is where Alex's wooden P turns into an L). However, the critics seem to think that it was worth about 55%. But does it really?
4. Luther
Luther was a martyr (the film, I mean). The movie was very interesting and solid.
3. Ice Age series
Even though one of them was actually certified fresh, all of the Ice Age series was good. Ice Age 2 and 3 particularly shine, with 1, 4, and 5 being okay movies. Should they get a 77%, 57%, 46%, 38%, and 16%?
2. X-Men: Apocalypse
The fifth entry in the X-Men film series (9th if you count the two Wolverine films, First Class, and Deadpool), Apocalypse was a fine film, and one of my favorite X films. Quicksilver shines (As always), with a sweet Sweet Dreams scene. Yet RT thought it should receive a 48%.
1. Practically the entire DCEU
The DCEU is the film series following the Justice League, and nearly every single one of the movies has a rotten rating. Man of Steel, which sucked, actually has the highest rotten rating, with 55%. Wonder Woman is the only fresh movie in the franchise.
