Alright! As Infinity War goes live in 17 days or so, I thought it would be good to make a list of my most likely to die picks.
Ready?
10. War Machine (Rhodey)
War Machine is already crippled and is basically an Iron Man spare. Why should he live? I mean, "Kill the spare", in the words of Lord Voldemort.
9. Hawkeye (Clint Barton)
Hawkeye isn't supposed to have a huge role, but he is supposed to go on some sort of special journey throughout the film. However, he's a dude with bow and arrows. Thanos is a 9-ft tall titan with the ability to reshape reality. Plus, Hawkeye's new cut, which is like a mohawk and a mullet shoved onto Jeremy Renner's head, may make the audiences want him to die.
8. Iron Man (Tony Stark)
I don't think Iron Man will die. All the characters have a chance of dying, but I don't think that Iron Man will. He will, however, lose an arm (Check out the Funko Pop photos).
7. Spider-Man (Peter Parker)
In the trailer, which I'm trying not to rely too heavily on, you see Thanos smash Spidey to the ground. I don't believe that they would kill Spidey, but you never know.
6. Gamora
Gamora has it out for Thanos. A mean adoptive father, Gamora has a serious reason to go after him (Which we all know practically means death).
5. Nebula
However, Nebula is Thanos' daughter. Thanos took portions of Nebula and replaced them with cybernetic parts. She has often spoken of her desire to kill Thanos, and if she really does try to engage with him in hand to hand combat, Karen Gillan may be done with the MCU.
4. Drax the Destroyer
Drax has shown that he has no fears of dying if it means avenging his family. He has already approached Ronan the Accuser and lost badly. At the end of Guardians vol 1, he says that Ronan was just a pawn. Thanos is the real man responsible. In the new trailer, he is seen with Spidey, Star-Lord, and Iron Man as they discuss the plan. So he's already there.
3. Bruce Banner
Bruce Banner may be split from his giant angry counterpart. If that were to happen, and based off of LEGO set with the Hulkbuster with Bruce Banner inside. In the trailer, you see the Hulkbuster looking awesome, Banner next to the Hulkbuster armor, and the Hulkbuster armor getting knocked down and attacked by henchmen. You also see the Hulk running around at a different time, and you can't be at different places at the same time. So whoever in the Hulkbuster is dead, although nobody may be in there. As most famously seen in Homecoming, you don't have to be in the armor for it to operate.
2. Vision (Vision)
Vision has an Infinity Stone in his head. Thanos wants it. These do not bode well together.
1. Captain America (Steve Rogers)
Captain America has been conflicted over and over again about his identity, to the point where he grows a beard. In the trailer, he is seen trying to stop Thanos from smooshing him in Wakanda, with no one else around. There is no good way for him to get out of that.
