Coco is an AMAZING film. It's definitely one of my favorite Pixar films, and I'll probably be doing a list of those later, but here's what I think of it:
Animation:
Pixar continues to astound everyone with they're breathtaking animation. The skeleton's, Miguel, water, and all the glowy stuff, it all looks great.
Story (Spoilers):
Coco had an amazing story. As soon as Miguel's voice over said his great-great grandpa left for his music, and then that Ernesto de la Cruz had no family and came from nowhere, I was just like, "Well, Ernesto is obviously his relative." But then TWIST: Hector is his family, and you're just like, WHOA. DID NOT SEE THAT COMING.
What I liked:
Everything. I don't always cry during movies, but when they showed that flashback where Hector sings to Coco, and he just wants to see his little girl again, but couldn't, but she loves him anyway and misses him, and I'm just like: sob.
This was the closest thing to a Pixar musical we'll get, and I'd say, okay. The music is awesome. Pixar should make the Incredibles 2 a musical too (JK).
This was an amazing movie, and I highly recommend it.
