the NeverEnding Story review!

Alright! Today, on this fun and fancy-free Tuesday, I am reviewing a movie I saw recently: The NeverEnding Story.
     I had seen the movie, like, once before this time. And now that I've seen it and remember it, I've come to this conclusion:
     It's not all that good.
Yeah, it's a classic, but it's an underwhelming classic.
     The puppet's mouths don't match up with their words. The acting is horrendous. And, the child who plays Bastian is not only unconvincing, but takes away from the story. As well as the child who portrays the princess.
The movie has two things going for it:
The soundtrack (80s synthesizers pulled off correctly) and Atayu (Heartthrob).
It also has an adorable bat and racing snail, but they are, unfortunately, minor characters.
There's also the Luck Dragon.
     The Luck Dragon was underwhelming. All anyone talks about (About this movie) is the Luck Dragon. And it was underwhelming. The mouth did not match up with the words severely, it sounded creepy, and it wasn't the simplistic simple-mindedness I would expect from a creature that lives on luck. It also didn't have a lot of screen time or memorable quotes.
Rating: 5/10. 

"While it has it's charms, the NeverEnding Story falls short of the hype and nostalgia while being lifted by great special effects and a magnificent soundtrack."

Oh, and the horse died. That was sad.
