Alright! Today I'mma be talking about the staggering box office numbers Disney's pulling in right now:
Endgame is officially the highest grossing film of all time
That's right. After the coin toss flippancy of the past two months, Endgame has beaten Avatar and is amazing. Right now, adjusted for inflation, it is the 5th biggest film of all time. Unadjusted, #1. That's awesome.
But seriously, we need to talk about Disney's success at the box office:
Endgame is the highest grossing film ever
Captain Marvel made $1 Billion
Aladdin has made $988 million, so it's a guaranteed $1 billion
Toy Story 4 is $859 million, so it's going to make $1 billion
Far From Home, while technically Sony, is under the Disney-owned Marvel brand, and it's at $970 million, so it's a guaranteed $1 billion
the Lion King has broken July box office records and is at $531 million, so it's going to make a billion as well.
Combine this with the fact that basically no other films will make a $1 billion this year (Other than Jumanji: The Next Level, because Welcome to the Jungle almost made $1 billion), Disney got it going on with upcoming guaranteed $1 billion dollar releases:
Frozen II and the Rise of Skywalker, and probably not Maleficent II: Mistress of Evil, which I think will fail along the lines of Dumbo.
