Alright! Today, I'm taking a look at some of the books and/or book series that I think should be made or remade into their own films.
Is it already a film? No
Is it being thought of? No
Percy Jackson was a bit troubling. It did not follow the film's plot, and, like the Maze Runner, took the characters and plot idea and twisted it into something unrecognizable.
10. the 39 Clues
Is it already a film? No
Is it being thought of? Yes, by Universal
the 39 Clues is a good series. The sad thing is, I haven't read them all. Why? Because there's rarely a complete set at any library. There's 11 books in the first series, but they seem to get lost and are nearly always checked out. And, check out this link: this is how much they cost on Amazon. And that's PAPERBACK. PAPERBACK SUCKS.
9. Gregor the Overlander
Is it already a film? No
Is it being thought of? No
Gregor the Overlander would be an awesome series to make, because it's just awesome. It is also set in the dark, so that might be tricky to make/watch.
8. the Magic Tree House
Is it being thought of? Yes, by Lionsgate, about the 29th book.
This would be an animated film, with the animation like Peanuts and Captain Underpants. It would do well, and there are actually plots to most of the books, branching (Pun intended) out to about 5 or 6 books at a time. Unfortunately, there's 55 books (As of 2018), and that's a lot. Of course, it would be easy to just smoosh the first plot, save Morgan le Fay with 4 medallions, like the anime film.
7. the Chronicles of Narnia
Is it being thought of? Yes, but it's not happening.
The Chronicles of Narnia is already three films. Unfortunately the series isn't doing anything. They're developing a fourth film, Silver Chair, but that's not going anywhere. I just propose they do the last book, the Final Battle, because most of the other books were meh.
6. the Maze Runner
Is it already a film? Yes, but it sucked
Is it being thought of? No
the Maze Runner is technically already a film, but unfortunately, they sucked. Their biggest problem was not following the plot. The cast is fine, but it's like they took the characters and setting and shoved into an entirely different book! I think that they (Fox) should remake the series, but this time make it more accurate and better.
5. Beyonders
Is it already a film? No
Is it being thought of? No
I love the Beyonders series and I think it would make a great, if unconventional, film. It's about a boy who is swallowed by a hippo and enters a magic land with zombies and people who can pop off their body parts, like an arm, but still control the arm. It would be an awesome film.
4. Percy Jackson / Heroes of Olympus / Kane Chronicles
Is it already a film? Yes
Is it being thought of? No
The entire film's about a kid who learns he's a demigod, his mom's kidnapped by Hades, so he and his satyr and girl friend go find three tiny marbles that allow them to escape the Underworld. In the book, this was literally a chapter. Maybe even a page. The second book was more faithful, but was also a bit worse. The films were financially successful, but received mixed reviews. There are no plans for a third film.
They kind of screwed up the characters in the first film, making Annabeth's hair brown and making them all older, but I did like that they decided to make Grover black. That was nice, and way better than the other Grover we got in the books.

This is where we can swoop in and save them! Make an actual Camp Half-Blood, follow the book, cast younger people (Percy was 12. Not 16.). Harry Potter was able to make a magical and accurate setting! Why can't Percy Jackson?
And then there's Heroes of Olympus, which would be optional, along with the Kane Chronicles, which were pretty awesome.
3. Fablehaven
Is it already a film? No
Is it being thought of? Yes
Fablehaven is technically being thought of, but that's been, like, FOREVER! Can't we just have our Fablehaven now? It's such a cool book! How can it not already be a film? It's an interesting concept, an involving story, and an excellent setting! MAKE IT ALREADY!!!!!
2. Ranger's Apprentice
Is it already a film? No
the Ranger's Apprentice is one of my favorite book series. This is one where they could maybe smoosh the first two books together, unlike Artemis Fowl, and get a story that doesn't skip out on important character development. It's also awesome, fun, and definitely one of the better "Set a long time ago" novels.
1. the Lunar Chronicles
Is it already a film? No
Is it being thought of? No
the Lunar Chronicles is one of my FAVORITE novel series EVER!!!! I AM USING CAPS TO EXPRESS MY EXCITEMENT!!!!
It is full of classic stories with awesome twists, involving characters, and a non American setting (Beijing). In fact, none of it takes place in America, focusing on Europe (France), Africa, the Oriental area, and the moon. It's Cinderella but a cyborg. It is an amazing series and highly underrated, and would make an AWESOME FILM!!!!!

The only things that might be tricky is to show how the Lunar trick works, and maybe the casting choice for Cinder. She lives in New Beijing, but is technically Lunar royalty, who are white. That might be weird, to have a film set in New Beijing but still revolve around a white girl. But Emperor Kai would be Oriental, though. So it might balance out.
But "they" should still make it. Or me. Whenever I grow up (Never).
That's my Top 10! Did I leave any out?
