Alright. Today I am doing the timeline of all the MCU films. I'm only doing this because other websites have and theirs are wrong. So, begin.
1. Captain America: the First Avenger
It takes place in the 40s. It's pretty cut and dry.
2. Captain Marvel
Takes place in the 90s...
3. Iron Man
Iron Man is the first "Modern" superhero.
4. The Incredible Hulk
This takes place right after Iron Man, as seen by the ending scene where Tony Stark talks to Ross.
5. Iron Man 2
6 Months after Iron Man. That's easy peasy.
6. Thor
7. The Avengers
Does this need an explanation? Most early MCU films are in order.
8. Iron Man 3
9. Thor: the Dark World
10. Captain America: the Winter Soldier
11. Guardians of the Galaxy
12. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is the first truly confusing one. It came out in 2017, yet takes place about 6 months after Guardians of the Galaxy, which came out in 2014. But you don't need to worry about the Guardians again until 2018.
13. Avengers: Age of Ultron
14. Ant-Man
After Age of Ultron because of the new Avengers facility and before Civil War, as Ant-Man understands the suit.
15. Captain America: Civil War
Civil War is where things get dicey. Then you need to figure out the schedule between Civil War and Infinity War.
16. Black Panther
Black Panther takes place right after Civil War, as the media is still talking about King T'Chaka's death taking place one week ago.
17. Black Widow
18. Doctor Strange
19. Spider-Man: Homecoming
Takes place 6 months or so after Civil War, so Civil War probably took place during Parker's Freshman year, and then Homecoming takes place during his Sophomore year (Far From Home and it's sequel will take place during 11th and 12th grade).
20. Thor: Ragnarok
Right before Infinity War.
21. Ant-Man and the Wasp
This is confusing. Scott is on house arrest, and they say that in Infinity War. But at the end of the movie, some time has clearly passed (They made a Quantum tunnel inside the trunk), and then they disappear. So it probably takes place during or slightly before Infinity War.
22. Avengers: Infinity War
The most recent film (And hard to follow up. Everyone's dust). Probably takes place in the summer between Parker's Sophomore and Junior years.
23. Avengers: Endgame
Definitely after Infinity War. 5 years after it.
24. Spider-Man: Far From Home
Takes place Endgame, since Peter's 16 and Tony's dead.
25. The Eternals
The Eternals is supposed to happen both thousands of years ago and in the present, so I'm guessing most of it will be in the post-snap world.
All the other Marvel movies announced, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, WandaVision, Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, She-Hulk, Thor: Love and Thunder, Shang-Chi, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, and a bunch of others are presumably taking place in chronological order.
