2026 Update!

Story time: I recently returned from a two-year mission in São Paulo, Brazil, for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (This is why I was only posting once a month from September 2023 to October 2025; it was all prescheduled). I've since returned and have been working on an incredible backlog of movies - this is also why the reviews are coming out slower, since I'm watching more than I can write.

Riacho Grande te amooooo

As it stands, I have a backlog of 26 review drafts that I'm working on, including but not limited to:

  • Stranger Things 5
  • Lilo & Stitch (2025)
  • Neon Genesis
  • Daredevil: Born Again
  • Death Note
  • Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein
  • Invincible seasons 1-3
  • Elio
  • A Minecraft Movie
  • Sinners
  • F1
  • Batman: Caped Crusader
I've also been working on a few essays:
  • How Guardians of the Galaxy Redefined the Summer Blockbuster
  • Fixing the Star Wars Prequels
  • 10 Times Avatar: The Last Airbender Broke the Mold
  • Active vs. Passive heroes
  • When the Movie Has a Soul
  • The Death of the LEGO Play Feature
  • The 20 Best Animated Films, Ever
And to top it all off, I'm also working through the two years' worth of movies! I've seen most of the bigger flicks, but I'm still missing a few global sensations -
  • Wonka
  • Kung Fu Panda 4
  • Solo Leveling
  • Andor (Season Two)
  • Loki (Season Two)
Doing the math, I have over 50 drafts to work on, which, for a weekly release schedule, is a year's worth of content that I'm trying to push through at top speed... I definitely have my work cut out for me! And as a passion project of mine, I've also started writing a high school comedy titled #friendssweep and a short book titled The Starboy. As you can imagine, I'm always in the middle of writing something!

I say all of this so you can understand the magnitude of next week's review. Despite everything else actively screaming for my attention, one thing stood above them all. I was first introduced to it during a trunk-or-treat by one of my younger friends, who was dressed as a daywalker from this 2025 smash sensation. Further investigation led me to watch, alongside my thirteen-year-old sister and her best friend, all four Disney Channel Zombies movies.

And I have so much to say.
